Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi has cautioned Meru governor Peter Munya against poking holes President Uhuru Kenyatta's projects in the region.
Speaking during a series of political meetings in his constituency, the lawmaker further lauded the Head of State for visiting the region to commission different developmental projects.
Earlier, governor Munya had argued that the projects could stall due to the forthcoming polls.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Linturi dismissed Munya's assertions as last kicks of a dying horse, challenging the county chief to instead account for devolution funds disbursed to the county for the past four years.
The duo has been embroiled in a political tussle for quite sometime, even as the election day draws nigh.
Linturi, who is now eyeing the county's senatorial seat on a Jubilee Party ticket is backing Senator Kiraitu Murungi for governor.
