Speaking during the harvesting of fish at the school's pond, the school’s Principal Mrs. Peninah Oketch observed that so many accidents have occurred near the school, due to lack of footbridges to be used by pedestrians to cross the road.

“I can say that the highest insecurity is the rampant accident involving our teachers and students who come and go out of the institution," said Principal Oketch adding that she has already written a formal letters to the relevant authorities about the issue.

“Nothing much has been done. I even asked them to construct bumps as a temporary measure, a request they have not yet responded to,” said Oketch.

She said that there is need for the construction of a footbridge along the highway considering that Nakumatt Shopping Mall and the Psychiatric institution are just next to the school, making the place to have a heavy human traffic crossing the road.

She confirmed that on Wednesday morning one of the teachers from the school got involved in an accident while crossing the road.

"As I am speaking a member of the staff has been taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Referral Hospital after accident," noted Principal Oketch.

Meanwhile, the former Parent Association Chairman of the school Stephen Ogola has asked the Kisumu County government to set aside funds to construct biology laboratory for the institution.
