Despite invitation to a host of world leaders to his inauguration, President Uhuru Kenyatta may have a number of his colleagues boycotting the November 28th inauguration ceremony.

Already, at least 20 Heads of States and governments have confirmed their attendance as Uhuru seeks to ‘improve’ his international reputation.

But should ODM leader Raila Odinga’s past message after his return from the US is anything to go by, a number of leaders may abandon Uhuru’s big day.

“Our friends from Cameroon, Nigeria, South Africa and Ghana are with us in this tough struggle. Let us not give up,” he said.

“For every step we make, they are always with us and I am happy with it. Democracy must prevail in our country.”

Those expected to miss are Jacob Juma (South Africa], Nana Addo (Ghana), John Magufuli (Tanzania), Paul Bia (Cameroun) and Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria.

Early this week, Financial Times newspaper claimed that the government of Kenya was soliciting for support from foreign countries.
