Kisii gubernatorial, senatorial, Woman representative,  South Mugirango, Nyaribari Chache,  Bonchari and Bomachoge  Borabu constituencies petition cases to kick off starting from next week at the Kisii Law  Court. 

South  Mugirango case challenging MP  Sylvanus  Osoro submission took place on Thursday where he was represented by his lawyer  Edward Begi who asked the court to dismiss the case since the petitioner Mr Dennis Makori didn't adduce enough evidence to nullify the election. 

The case will commence on 2/3/2018.

Osoro was announced a winner with 11,114 votes

Case challenging Woman Rep  Janet Ongera was postponed to 18/1/2018 whereby the petitioner  Makori Onsando had applied for the application of scrutiny before Justice Anthony  Ndung'u and was granted permission on the same. 

The petitioner Makori who filed the case challenging the victory of Janet  Ong'era alleged that the votes had illegalities and irregularities.

Janet Ong'era garnered 172,482 against his competitor Dorice Aburi 144,973

The case of against governor James Ongwae will commence on 16/1/2018.

Governor Ongwae has announced a winner with 206,164 votes against Chris Obure's  110,760 votes.

Senator Sam Ongeri, Janet Ongera, and James Ongwae are represented by counsel Okongo Omogeni.
