As 2022 general elections approach, Deputy President William Ruto has already managed to convince several opposition's NASA leaders to support his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Many of the leaders are from Raila Odinga's ODM party which has been receiving overwhelming support from the larger coast region.

Some of the coast leaders who have shift allegiance and publicly declared their support for him include;

1. Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa - ODM

2. Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori - ODM

3. Jomvu MP Ali Twalib - ODM

4. Kinango MP Benjamin Tayari - ODM

5. Kilifi North MP Owen Baya - ODM

6. Nyali MP Mohammed Ali - Independent

7. Kisauni MP Ali Mbogo - Wiper

Unconfirmed reports indicate that Kwale Senator Issa Boy (ODM) is also shifting to Ruto's camp.

Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi (ODM) has also been accused of slowly shifting allegiance to Ruto but he has not publicly supported the DP. 

ODM MPs started crossing over since the March 9, handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
