Despite heading to a landslide victory, President Uhuru Kenyatta may have scored fairly bad in certain areas where he diverted his energy during campaigns.
With his main challenger Raila Odinga having bolted out of the race due to alleged bias by IEBC, the turnout was unconvincingly in several constituencies across the country.
Provisional results by the IEBC shows the turnout in NASA strongholds where Uhuru had campaigned consistently was below average.
Prior to elections, the president made several trips to former Western province, Coast, North Eastern, Nyanza and parts of South Eastern Kenya.
While the commission has projected a fairly good turnout in his traditional strongholds in Central and Rift Valley, Uhuru's performance in the aforementioned regions could send him to the drawing table.
Some of the counties where his performance was not convincingly include Nyamira, Kisii, Bungoma, Vihiga, Kakamega, Busia, Trans Nzoia an Mombasa.
Others include Kwale, Taita Taveta, Lamu, Tana River, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Samburu, Marsabit and Isiolo.
Critical examination on the results shows the turnout ranges between 10 percent to 25 percent, an indication that many supporters heeded to Raila Odinga's boycott call.
In many of his interviews, Odinga has maintained that he will push for a fresh elections in 90 days time failure to which he may call for self determination in the country.
