A number of seasoned journalists have reportedly been sacked by Nation Media Group in what is seen as a move to focus more on content creation. Some of the top media experts from the company who have so far been let go, according to Business Today, include:

3. Lolani Kalu — NTV reporter
4. Wayua Muli — Saturday magazine editor

The media giant says the changes were meant to restructure the company into a modern digital media company. Unnamed sources who spoke to Business Today revealed that the retrenchment is set to continue in the coming days. Other media companies, such as the Standard, The Star and Citizen, have in the recent past retrenched their experienced journalists in a restructuring process.
