Kenyan parliamentarians are known for their lavish lifestyles.
However, it has been established that not all of them actually live such lives.
An independent investigation done by the the Star newspaper has found out that there are more than 10 MPs who live very modest lives.
They use public transport as well as bodabodas and live in some of Nairobi's low-end estates including the crime-manifested Eastlands.
The legislators are also said to be operating without bodyguards.
They walk freely in the streets of Nairobi and it's common to find them mingling and interacting with common people in city streets and back in their constituencies.
They include;
Kiharu MP Irungu Kangata
Nelson Gaichuhie (Subukia)
Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale
Likuyani MP Enock Kibunguchy
Matuga MP Hassan Mwanyoha
Likoni MP Masoud Mwahima
