Washington DC is reportedly pushing for nomination of four NASA politicians in an all-inclusive cabinet by President Uhuru Kenyatta, a senior ODM lawyer has revealed.
With NASA keen to have Raila inaugurated as president, US has released funds to push for dialogue between the two political divide.
"We are keen to have a national conversation that can solve these issues. We want both sides to drop hard political stands," said US envoy Robert Godec.
So far, Uhuru has only nominated nine people out of the possible 22 as he seeks to have a cabinet representation from different parts of the world.
But according to the source, US has already proposed four names which it deems fit to represent NASA.
"US has suggested four but NASA will have to consult because they lack legitimacy. We still have pending issues."
Former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero is among those considered along with Ex-Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale.
Also under consideration is Farah Maalim who lost Garissan Township seat and former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo.
