A section of leaders who were closely associated with ODM leader Raila Odinga lost their respective seats despite being hinted to win.
Mr Odinga is yet to come to term with a huge lose at least according to figures projected on the IEBC website which puts Uhuru Kenyatta at pole position to be reelected.
In Nyamira, ODM national treasurer Timothy Bosire, against all the odds lost to city lawyer Shadrack Mose of Jubilee. Bosire, a fierce defender of Odinga, was projected to win.
At Taita Taveta County, outgoing ODM Chief Whip Thomas Mwandegu, who was running for governorship on ODM, lost badly to Glanton Samboja of Wiper party.
Similar results showed former Deputy Speaker and Lagdera MP Farah Maalim losing in Garissa Township in his quest to displace Aden Duale of Jubilee.
Also in the list include Charles Geni of North Mugirango who lost to Joash Nyamoko, Jakoyo Midiwo who lost his bid to retain Gem constituency seat as an Independent.
Nicholas Gumbo failed to win Siaya governorship while Ahmed Abudulahi lost his quest to retain Wajir governorship.
