Babu said on Friday that Kenya, currently, has three presidents.

He said the country now has three president- the president of the republic of Kenya, the people's president and a future president.

"There are only three presidents in Kenya. Uhuru Kenyatta- president of Kenya, Raila Odinga- people’s president and Babu Owino- future president," the former Students of Nairobi University Chairman said on Twitter.

Although he did not say when he intends to vie for the presidency, he said he has prospects of becoming Kenya's commander in chief in future.

Babu began his political career after the 2013 general election when he began associating with opposition chief Raila Odinga.

In 2013 he had indicated vying for the Westlands parliamentary seat but backed off when the Orange Democratic Movement party (ODM) settled on Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula's brother Timothy Wanyonyi.

Babu was among opposition MPs who pushed for Raila swearing in January 30 at Nairobi's Uhuru Park grounds, an event that earned Raila the people's president title.

He recently lost his Parliamentary seat after the High Court nullified his election on grounds that he harassed IEBC officials during the counting of votes after August 8.
