The electoral commission has said that at least 67 registered parties submitted their nomination rules by the March 2 deadline.

In a statement, Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) said it is in the process of reviewing the nomination rules submitted by the parties.

Political parties are expected to conduct all their party primaries in April 2017.

The electoral body added that Hut Political Party, a provisionally registered party also submitted its rules.

The commission however reiterated thet the National Super Alliance Coalition (NASA) is the only coalition that beat the deadline.
