The past week has seen seasoned politicians lose their seats through election petitions.
Here are some of the politicians
1. Cyprian Awiti_Homa Bay governor-
His victory was nullified by justice Joseph Karanja who blamed the IEBC for not conducting a free and fair election. He also said the petitioner had provided enough evidence.
2. Mohamed Abdi-Wajir governor
The victory was nullified by judge Alfred Mabeya who said that Mohammed Abdi failed to produce original academic forms. Which is a requirement.
3.Martin Wambora- Embu governor
Judge William nullified his victory by saying that it was full of irregularities.
4. Alfred Keter-Nandi Hills MP
Judge Kanyi Kimondo nullified citing saying it was full of illegalities and irregularities.
5. Babu Owino- Embakasi East
Judge Joseph Sergon said the election was full of errors and malpractices, making it unfair.
6. Wanjiku Kibe-Gatundu North MP
Justice Joel Ngugi nullified the election saying it was with many illegalities and irregularities plus being conducted poorly.
7. Chris Karani-Ugenya MP
The nullification was based on campaigns' mischief and that, the general process was compromised.
8. Kangogo Bowen-Markawet East MP
Justice George Kimondo of Eldoret high court nullified his victory by saying it was married with irregularities .
9. Ahmed Kolosh-Wajir West
High Court judge Francis Tuiyott nullified his victory saying some poling stations votes cast exceeded the registered voters.
10. Stanley Muthama-Lamu West MP
Judge Weldon Korir nullified his victory basing on the irregularities in the election process.
