Shape.com highlights a list of things that you should never insert in your vagina.

Banana or cucumber

According to Dr. Minkin, bananas or cucumbers however clean should never be inserted into your vagina because they do carry bacteria that might introduce microbes to your private parts. This will eventually interfere with the normal vagina bacteria then cause a yeast infection.

Soft plastic sex toys

After some months, vibrators made from soft, flexible plastic or jelly-like rubber can develop tiny nicks and grooves where microbes can hide. If you put them in your vagina for sexual pleasure you can easily get an infection. Minkin the expert suggests that you should try to use hard plastic pleasure products instead.

Oil-based lubricants

oil-based products are thicker and harder to wash out of your vagina, making it a breeding ground for bacteria. Oil can also break the rubber (condom) if your partner is wearing it for sex, putting you at risk of STDs. However, you are advised to use silicone-and water-based lubricants that contain no additives instead.

Anything with a scent

Perfumes and soaps contain additives that leave some women with itching, inflammation, and rashes on or around the vagina, says Minkin.

Hair removal cream

The chemicals found in hair removal creams are harsh, resulting in tiny abrasions that leave your vaginal area open to infection. Allergic reactions can also make you itch or uncomfortable. Therefore it is advisable to shave your down region, you may be left with a slight rash but it is better than a chemical negative effect.
