The ruling Jubilee party has the highest number of candidates who will vying for various elective positions in the August 8 polls.

According to an interim report on proposed candidates for the August 2017 general election as submitted by various political parties to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Jubilee party has 1,801 candidates.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has the second highest number of candidates which are 1,289.
