Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has chosen five candidates for the deputy governor seat.

The office was left vacant after Polycarp Igathe resigned in January as Sonko's deputy.

Notable among the five is former Nairobi Women Rep Rachel Shebesh who was trounced in the race by ODM's Esther Passaris.
