President Uhuru Kenyatta has been urged to listen to the voice of Kenyans and reject signing of electoral law amendments Bill into law that was passed by both the National and Senate assemblies.
Speaking to journalist in Kisii town on Sunday Nyaribari Chache MP aspirant Rachael Otundo called on President Uhuru Kenyatta not to sign the bill if he wants peace to prevail in the country as 2017 election beckons.
“We want peace in our country and Kenyans have opposed the Bill, I am asking President Kenyatta to listen to the voice of Kenyans,” said Otundo.
“Our two assemblies passed the election amendments Bill and that is almost becoming a law and what has remained is the President's signature but he should refuse to sign,” he added.
Her sentiments were echoed by Kisii county youths leader John Otao who said Kenyans should be heard before the bill signed into law.
