Rabuor primary school in Kisumu County has again this year emerged the national champions in the national music festivals which were held at the Moi sports centre Kasarani in Nairobi.
The pupils who were performing a Scottish dance emerged the winners after beating 33 schools which were also competing in the same category.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Friday, Rabuor primary school Head Teacher Mr Charles Odida Awuor said the school has now become the national champions for the fourth consecutive time.
He said the school with minimal resources has managed to beat prestigious and private schools like Booker and Spring board academies.
“We have dedicated pupils who can deliver without minimal resources,” he said.
Odida said the Scottish dance which is a dance in Scotland has always been performed by rich private schools adding that Rabuor has done this region wonders by winning the category from 2013, 2014, 2015 and again this year.
Mr Odida said the school has done Kisumu County proud but added that they have not been receiving any support from the county as a motivation.
He said they have just been relying on support for friends and well wishers.
He said the school will now perform before President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House.
