A school head from Kisii County has promised incredible results in this year’s exams following a tremendous improvement in 2014 K.C.P.E despite being very little known.
Kegogi Primary school was one of the best performers in Marani Sub -county after amassing a mean grade of 290 with the best candidate getting 375 marks.
Speaking in his office on Friday, headmaster Kelvin Omweri said he was optimistic of producing better results this year following the attitude and commitment from this year’s candidates.
“We can achieve a mean grade of 330. This is our target and is sure we will attain it. Our candidates are the best class I have ever seen in my career. They are very committed and disciplined hence nothing will deter us from attaining our goals,” he said.
Omweri lauded his teachers for collective efforts to impart knowledge to children besides offering to guide them during private hours.
“I must admit that we have the best teaching staff in Marani. They are selfless and focused and that is why we will do even much better. They have sacrificed their time for this young scholars and that is why optimist of terrific results am,” he added.
He said he will be happy if the school produces at least five students to join traditional national schools such as Alliance, something that has never happened since its establishment in 1961.
“It’s unfortunate that we have never produced students who can join giant academic schools such as Alliance High. May be this will be our year and nothing will hamper us from attaining,” he added.
