Karua’s message9:00am: Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua, who lost the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat to former Devolution cabinet secretary Anne Waiguru, has wished President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto best wishes as they set out to fulfill their mandate.
Top ODM governor congratulates Uhuru8:50am: Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok, a strong supporter of NASA, has congratulated President Uhuru Kenyatta on his re-election. He did that as the chairman of the council of governors.
Serve all10:45pm: President Kenyatta: “We will serve all 45 million Kenyans equally. We will continue to roll out our programs countrywide, without any bias.”
Reaching out to NASA10:26pm: Kenyatta thanked NASA, whom he called worthy competitors, and not enemies. He extended a hand of friendship, partnership in order for the country to succeed. Uhuru’s message to Raila: “I reach out to you, your supporters, those elected on the opposition benches; we shall work together. Build the nation together.”
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s remarks 10:22pm: President Kenyatta thanked God, his supporters, observers, staff and IEBC following his win. He said IEBC has done a great job.
Chebukati declares Uhuru winner10:18pm: IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has declared Uhuru Kenyatta as being re-elected president of Kenya.
Chebukati saved 9:10pm: IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati was about to announce the results of the presidential election before agents signed it. An IEBC commissioner had to come to his rescue. The results are now being signed. Orengo criticizes observers 7:40pm: Orengo accuses the observers of serving the interests of the Jubilee administration. He says the delegations, which include those led by John Kelly, John Mahama and Thabo Mbeki rushed to judgment.

IEBC about to make big announcement
7:32pm: Musalia Mudavadi says IEBC intends to announce the winner of the presidential election in a few minutes. Mudavadi says: “As NASA, we shall not be party to the announcement that they’re about to make.”“The issues we raised have not been adequately addressed.”
NASA team is still around 7:28pm: NASA campaign manager Musalia Mudavadi and Siaya Senator James Orengo are still at the Bomas of Kenya. Raila Odinga left a while ago.

Waiguru gives first interview after Kirinyaga gubernatorial race win
6:25pm: Kirinyaga governor elect Anne Waiguru has given her first TV interview after clinching the seat. Waiguru, the former Devolution CS faced stiffed competition from Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua. In the interview, Waiguru said that IEBC should be given ample time to announce the presidential results.

Raila leaves Bomas of Kenya
5:00pm: NASA presidential candidate Raila leaves Bomas of Kenya. It was believed that Raila was at the venue for the announcement of presidential results that was scheduled to take place at around 3:00pm. Jubilee and NASA leaders had ealier thronged the venue in readiness for the announcement.
Opening IEBC servers to the media and political parties
4:45pm: NASA has demanded the opening of IEBC servers to the media and political parties. The move is meant to probe hacking, to accept results if satisfied with their authenticity.
NASA detains officers who 'raided' tallying center
4:30pm: It has now emerged that NASA officials detained two flying squad officers who allegedly invaded its tallying center in Runda. The officers were detained for 30 minutes where all their details were recorded before being released.
NASA’s condition to accept IEBC results4:20pm: Orengo says: “If they (IEBC) can open those servers, and we look at it, we can accept the result contained in those servers.” The senator added that NASA wants Jubilee and the media to be given access to the IEBC website.
NASA now using IEBC data4:19pm: Orengo: “We’ve decided to use their own data. We have a 5-page document which has been delivered to the commission on their anomalies.”
Orengo on ‘IEBC anomalies’ 4:20pm: Siaya Senator James Orengo says IEBC is not about to announce the winner of the presidential election.
Mudavadi on IEBC results 4:15pm: Musalia Mudavadi, in a live press conference, says NASA officials have found a lot anomalies in the IEBC results.“Some results are coming from non-gazetted polling stations,” he says. “So far, only 29,000 of the form 34A have been seen by IEBC at Bomas. So, close to 11,000 forms have not been received.”Mudavadi’s advice to IEBC: “They should not rush to make a declaration, until all documentation has been done well, to the satisfaction of all parties."
Not yet4:02pm: “It’s important to be accurate, than to rush the process and end up with mistakes,” Chiloba says, hinting that they not not make the final announcement of the presidential results. He promises another briefing later in the day.
Remaining forms 4:02pm: Only two forms are remaining. The returning officers are working some clarifications, Chiluba says.
IEBC briefing 4:00pm: IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba starts press conference, urging for more patience. “We need to be sure we’re doing the right thing,” he says.
Policemen arrested at NASA tallying Centre 3:45pm: The Star Breaking is reporting that two police officers, attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, are being detained at the NASA tallying centre after they tried to gain access to the premises, while pretending to be reporters.
Presidential candidates concede defeat3:30pm: In a joint statement, presidential candidates Cyrus Jirongo Joseph Nyagah have conceded defeat.
Compiling own results3:20pm: NASA technical strategist David Ndii says the opposition is now compiling their own results, from their tallying centre, in readiness for the next move.
Why the delay? 3:15: IEBC is running late, by more than 45 minutes, in making the much-anticipated public announcement. The senior IEBC officials were meeting chief agents of presidential candidates before holding the 2:30pm briefing. The unexpected arrival of Raila Odinga at the Bomas of Kenya may have complicated matters, making the commission officials to hear him out.
Police ready 2:02pm: There is a heavy police presence in the lakeside city of Kisumu, ready to handle any demonstrations following the announcement of the presidential results.
Will Raila concede?2:00pm: Now that both Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta will be at the Bomas of Kenya when IEBC makes the big announcement at 2:3pm, does it indicate that the NASA candidate will concede defeat and congratulate the president?
Sonko arrives1:50pm: Nairobi Governor-elect Mike Sonko has arrived at the Bomas of Kenya.
Address by president-elect 1:45pm: The president-elect, to be announced shortly by IEBC chairman Wafula Chepukati, will address the nation thereafter.

Mohammed Ali’s vision for Nyali11:00am: Former KTN journalist Mohammed Ali, the MP-elect for Nyali constituency in Mombasa, says his opponent, Said Abdalla, has called him to concede defeat. 9:26am: Former Nairobi Mayor George Aladwa has clinched the Makadara MP seat. He beat Jubilee Party's Benson Mutura.
Raila warned9:15am: The government of the United Kingdom has issued a stern warning to NASA leaders, saying that any actions that may destabilize the country will be unacceptable.
Maalim claims fraud
9:00am: Former National Assembly speaker Farah Maalim, who lost to Aden Duale in the Garissa Township MP seat, claims fraud in IEBC. He has tweeted: “The scale of IEBC electoral fraud in Garissa this year is of epic proportions.”
NASA mole?8:55am: Political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi claims that NASA has a mole in IEBC. He says: “NASA has a MOLE in IEBC. He has NO NAME. NOW they want the MOLE to DECLARE Raila President. Tyranny of LIES.”

8:48am: IEBC has so far received 185 Form 34Bs from Constituency Returning Officers. 105 forms remaining.

8:35am: Geoffrey Muturi, former aide de-camp of Mwai Kibaki, has beaten Mutava Musyimi to win Mbeere South MP seat.
22 female MPs
8:25am: A record 22 women have won MP seats in the just concluded General Election. In the 2013 polls, 16 women were elected.
Kenyans await final results
8:15am: IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati hinted at declaring the winner of the presidential election today. Chebukati said the Commission expects to receive all Forms 34A and 34B by today noon.

Bloodshed
9:22 pm: Raila, in the CNN interview, says he doesn’t want to see bloodshed as a result of the election dispute. He says Kenya learned a lesson from the 2007/08 violence, in which more than 1,300 people died.

Uhuru congratulated on 'win'
8:00 pm: Even before IEBC announces the final results of the presidential content, Burundi President Pierre Nkurunziza has congratulated ‘President-elect’ Uhuru Kenyatta and the people of Kenya. “Looking forward to strengthen our relations,” he wrote on Twitter.
