Their meeting was the first publicly, after the two worn re-election on August 8, 2017.
Moi: "It is time leaders walked the talk. We will focus on the people, changing their lives for the better. We can only do that if we work together."
Joho: "We will be talking matters inclusion, matters corruption and matters empowerment of our young people. You will see us walking together at the Coast, in Rift Valley and all over the country."
Addressing the press at his offices, the governor indicated that he alongside Moi will be visiting different regions countrywide to spread peace messages.
Details of the meeting remains scanty but Joho said they deliberated on the unity of the country and the building bridges initiative initiated by Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Moi who is a political nemesis to Deputy President William Ruto, also seeks to vie for presidency as well, and could be seeking coastal region's support through Joho, Ruto's political rival.
The meeting raises speculations over Joho and Moi's presidential ambitions in 2022.
The two embraced each other in a brotherly bear hug as Deputy Governor William Kingi and other local leaders watched.
