8:50PM: For those pushing that Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka cannot be prosecuted for boycotting the election. Lawyer Steve Ogolla who was hosted on KTN said that the election was held in a harsh environment. He says that anybody who is aggrieved should go to court. He says that in the eventuality that IEBC is taken to court, it has to fight tooth and nail to prove that the election was credible and without irregularities.

8:45PM: Lawyer Kibe Mungai says that the election cannot be dismissed because the opposition subverted justice in the areas voters did not participate. Speaking to KTN, Kibe said that there is no threshold to gauge elections on unless there is a law that makes it mandatory for voters to turn up.

8:35: Despite the failure by some constituencies not voting, Wafula Chebukati announced the results on the premise that the numbers from the counties where voting was hampered could not affect the outcome.

8:25PM: IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati whose person has been put to the test put his strongest show in the election yet in a speech that was addressed to all Kenyans in authority and command that was lacking in the August election.

IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati has announced the fresh presidential results from the counties across the country.

Chebukati: "I'm satisfied that we were able to meet conditions that enabled the commission to deliver a free, fair and credible election."

Ekuru Aukot6:50pm: One of the presidential candidates Dr Ekuru Aukot of the Thirdway Alliance is issuing a statement after being defeated.

Uhuru leaves6:45pm: Uhuru has left the Bomas of Kenya without giving his acceptance address to the nation, like he did in the August 8 election.Handshake6:43pm: Security having hard time to control the crowd as each of them want to shake his hand to the congratulatory message.

Congratulatory messages6:30pm: Congratulatory messages are being sent to Kenyatta after he was declared victor.Ministry of Tourism said: "Congratulations to H.E. Acceptance speech

6:10pm: Uhuru is issuing his acceptance speech, amid celebrations from his supporters at the Bomas of Kenya.

Uhuru: I chose to abide by the Court ruling. I went back to the people and once again appealed to their vote.

Uhuru Kenyatta: My victory today is part of a process likely to be subjected to the test at the courts.

Uhuru: I defeated intimidation, violence and witchcraft to win the repeat polls.

Uhuru retains presidency6:08pm: Wafula Chebukati has declared Uhuru the president elect with 25% of the votes cast in the majority of the counties. He garnered 7,483,895 votes. Chebukati declared William Ruto, the deputy president.

Uhuru arrives.6:04pm: President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived at the Bomas of Kenya ready to be declared president elect.
