Speaking on Thursday in Machakos town, the groups’ chairlady Francisca Mutinda condemned the move by wiper party officials that saw five ladies nominated MCAs wiped out from the party, which leads to losing their seats.

“We do not support the decision by the wiper party. We are in fact angered by the move, which we believe is aimed at reducing the number of women representing us in the Machakos County government,” said Mutinda.

“We will go to court and ensure that justice is done. However we urge Kalonzo Musyoka to intervene and return our members because they have been serving us well,” she added.

Accompanying the chairlady in Machakos town were the officials of the organization, who supported their leader in one accord, reckoning their support for the wiper party during the previous campaigns.

“We plead a lot with Kalonzo Musyoka to intervene and return our representatives back to their seats. We urge him to do so as we have been supporting him all through his political endeavors as our leader because we have believed in wiper party leaders,” said another official.

The party chairlady stated that if the party did not take the right measures to return the five members, then they will file a case against them in court,

This follows a move by the wiper party committee on Tuesday that saw 7 members wiped out of the party, five of them being women, on grounds of alleged disloyalty to the party.

The five members include, Ruth Ndumi, Nina Kala, Jackline Nziva, Mary Ndinda and Magret Ndalana.
