Kisumu County lobby groups have been challenged to initiate on projects that foster development.
Migosi MCA Paul Achayo, speaking on Saturday to lobby groups in his Migosi office challenged them to initiate projects that were community-based to fostering development in the community, noting that the most of the projects initiated were never geared towards development.
He noted that the projects initiated could be a source of employment to most of them when properly monitored and seen as a felted interest, urging most of the youths to form lobby groups to help in the same.
“We need to come up with projects that would foster development, through such development, job opportunities would be created hence improved economy,” noted Achayo.
The lobby groups’ chairperson Harry Madowo also challenged fellow groups to initiate on projects that would aid area growth, as development projects would see improved living standard amongst locals.
Madowo noted that there are various lobby groups that had various projects, yet they were not properly instituted, further challenging them to properly institute on the projects initiated.
“Let us properly institute on our projects initiated as through the projects initiated, when properly instituted fosters development hence improved living standards,” said Madowo.
