A human rights lobby group formed to push for the resignation of President Uhuru Kenyatta over corruption held its second protest on Thursday in Mombasa.
The group, Red Thursday Peoples Movement Against Corruption has stated that it will compel parliament to impeach President Uhuru over failure to tame corruption.
The movement is made up of Haki Africa, Reach Out Center, Angaza Network, Coast Women in Development and World Grace vowed to make Uhuru a one-term president through the secret ballot if he is not impeached or voluntarily resigns.
Reach Out executive director Abdulrahman Taib said EACC, Parliament, county assemblies, Judiciary and office of Public Prosecution have failed in their duty to fight corruption.
“As Kenyans, we demand their dissolution with immediate effect. As a people, we shall not relent until corruption is eradicated in our country,” Talib said.
