Kisumu residents have called on the authorities to overhaul operations at the Kisumu Bus Park.

For over three months now, the bus park has experienced instability with operators clashing because of business interests while some have blamed law enforcement agencies at the bus park of not acting to their concerns.

Kisumu City Residents Voice Association Chairman Audi Ogada said authorities in Kisumu town were not keen to restore order at the park.

“The county staff at the bus park are inefficient and are contributing to the chaos at the terminus. We need new ones who are not compromised,” said Ogada.

Mr Ogada called on the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet and the National Transport and Safety Authority to help in sorting out the situation.

The Kisumu Bus Park has been experiencing instability with rival groups clashing over the control of the park.

Last week reports emerged that one of the groups was preparing to destabiliee operations at the park.

Police in the town vowed to clamp down on the rival groups.
