An NGO, Heart for Change director Lillian Marwa said the youths should be given priority in the county government.
Marwa said Governor James Ongwae should live by his promises to help youths prosper.
“During the campaigns, governor Ongwae and his deputy Joash Maangi promised to deliver and help youths start businesses, participate in sporting activities. For this to be achieved, the county should give more funds to the youths docket for sporting activities to be organized among other forums to help youths realize their dreams,” she said.
Marwa raised alarm over increased cases of crime in the county but challenged the county government to work closely with the national government to end crimes.
“Our youths have been involved in crimes because they are idling in villages. The county should engage the youths to keep them busy to avoid being involved in crime,” she added.
