Popular musician Colonel Mustafa has told his critics that his music meets all requirements of educating, entertaining and informing the society.
Speaking on Saturday at Kisii University grounds during Talent Search Show, Mustafa said that the recent criticism from his fierce competitors in the music industry would not deter him from achieving his set objectives.
Kenya Film Association has in the recent pastaccused Mustafa of producing pedophile content contrary to social ethics and good morals.
The flamboyant artist popularly known for his ‘Lenga Stress’ seemed to be responding to his colleague Nyota Ndogo, who had accused him of producing pedophile videos besides writing songs which are irrelevant to the society.
“In music industry it is never easy. Detractors work day and night to bring you down but one has got to remain unshaken and focused because that is a norm to many of the artists,” said Mustafa amidst cheers from his fans.
Mustafa sent a message to his critics that; they should leave the society to judge him and not them.
“You need impartial people to give a determination on your products. Otherwise, I remain focused and I want to assure my critics that Aluta Continua,” said Mustafa.
The duos have been involved in a public spat with Nyota Ndogo coming out strongly as his critic. However, the rivalry between the two has been associated with regional supremacy given that both hail from Coast.
“It is normal in the industry to be criticised and that gives you strength. I think they are fighting over music control in the Coast,” said Mustafa.
