Entertainment joints in the county are among the businesses that have recorded high returns.

Bar and restaurant owners in Mombasa have expressed their happiness following the arrival of head teachers from all over the nation.

“Some teachers were in Mombasa from as early as Thursday last week,” said Mr Onyango, a bar owner at Bombolulu.

The business operators have said the conference has boosted their businesses in different ways, and they are now reaping great profits.

Beach attendants have not been left behind either as they also have something to smile about.

“This has been a very profitable season for us because some teachers come here very early in the morning and leave late. We opted to double up our prices to ensure we make more profit at the end of the day,” said a beach attendant at Pirate beach.

The KEPSHA conference that is currently undergoing at Sheikh Zayed Children Welfare Center, Mombasa, commenced on August 6, and is expected to run until August 12.
