Athi River District residents have been advised to inform police whenever they want to hold family functions for private security provision.

Speaking to press in his office yesterday, Athi River Police boss Mutoro Kizito said it was prudent for the residents to be fully protected by the government at all times.

Kizito said the police force was committed to ensure all the residents of Athi River and their visitors were safe during the festive season.

He said the police wills to protect the locals privatelyat their functions however small they were to make them enjoy their chrismas festivity without fear of criminal attacks.

"Let all residents inform police before holding private family functions so that they be offered security," said Kizito.

He wished all Kenyans happy new year and told them to remember supporting the least priviledged in the society to avoid being attempted to illegally seek resources in cash and material to also enjoy their festivities.
