Naivasha sub county commissioner Abraham Kemboi has assured residents of their safety and asked them to compliment police efforts in the fight against crime.

Briefing the press at his office on Monday, the commissioner said that the security personnel will remain committed to their work.

He said that they have a responsibility to guarantee peace and order adding that enough mechanisms have been initiated towards the same.

Kemboi noted that though tension has been reported in some parts of the sub county relating to matters land, he assured locals that everything is under control.

“We as the sub county administrators and law enforcers are keen to ensure that security prevails in Naivasha,” he said.

Kemboi warned individuals and groups planning to cause trouble saying that they will be dealt with accordingly.

He said that the law will forcefully deal with any person planning to disrupt peace. The commissioner appealed to residents to be vigilant and reports cases of crime.

Kemboi noted that more police will be deployed across the sub county to ensure security of residents.
