Lari Sub county deputy police commander John Kabusia has called on locals to maintain good relations with security officers in a bid to curb crime.
Addressing journalists at his office on today, the deputy commissioner commended locals for supporting police security initiatives.
He said that for the past three months the police and residents have enjoyed good working relations.
“We want to laud Lari residents for supporting our security strategies aimed at fighting crime,” he said. The deputy commander added that much has been achieved in relation to the fight against crime.
He said that the introduction of Nyumba Kumi has helped restore calm and order in most parts of the sub county.
He however noted the need for deployment of more officers in order for them to conduct 24 hour security patrols.
Mr Kabusia said that law enforcers in the area will remain committed to ensure that locals are safe.
He warned criminal’s gangs who might be tempted to invade the area saying they will be dealt with accordingly.
