Thika West Sub County Deputy Commissioner (DCC) Tom Anjere has assured locals of tight security ahead of the December festive season.

Speaking at Kiandutu grounds on Monday to mark this year’s Africa statistics Day, Anjere said that police will not negotiate with criminals.
He stated that police have been directed to firmly deal with law breakers.
The DCC asked criminals causing havoc in some parts of the sub county to surrender before they are pounced on the by police.
“Criminals gangs have nowhere to hide and we are telling them to surrender before we smoke them from their hideouts,” he said.
Anjere urged locals to report the crime in order for effective police response.
He noted that come crime cases are not reported to the police making it hard for the law enforcers to track and hunt down the criminals.
Thika and neighbouring Juja Sub County has been experiencing a rise in criminal activities in the recent past with locals urging the police to increase patrols.
Kiambu county commissioner Wilson Wanyanga says that police are on alert and will not tolerate any form of crime.
Speaking in Juja on Sunday, the commissioner said police patrol will be increased across all the sub counties.
