They raised their concern saying during heavy rains the roads poses a challenge to the locals as it becomes impassable.

They claim the county government has done little in upgrading the road which during the dry season also causes a lot of dust in the area.

“This is a key road that links Kisii to other town and ought to be a priority in the allocation of county funds,"  said Denis Awiti.

They also raised concern that the county government should erect speed bumps along the road to minimise accidents.

“We have been pleading with our politicians to upgrade the road and construct speed humps to regulate speed,” said Jacob Kolonga.

"The county government should come in before it is too late. We pay levies and we expect services from the county government or else we will no longer pay,” said Brian Nyachae.
