Locals now are accusing Nairobi Water Company that supplies them water for failing to fulfill their duties.

The residents said that in the last 2 months now, there has been rationing of water to the extent that some places go without water.

"Despite the fact that we are just close to the national government, we have lacked water for long. This time, now children are at home for holiday, water usage has been on the rise. Waterborne diseases may arise if the matter is not addressed amicably," said Hyline Nzioki.

She added that locals now buy water from vendors and they are not sure whether the water is safe since some of the containers that vendors use are dirty, something that could cause water-related diseases.
