Despite Hivisasa highlighting the life-threatening nature of Kisii county road users and pedestrians are still exposed to dangers.
Road users in Mwembe and Daraja Mbili routes are now asking the County government to take action against the matatu drivers.
They accused them of turning the two busy roads into bus stations causing traffic pile-ups.
"We want the county government to work on this menace. The public transport service is rotten and needs discipline," said Brain Momanyi, a resident of Mwembe.
Another local Flora Kwamboka blamed the county leadership of ignoring residents.
"Ongwae's government is sleeping on its job. They are ruining the public transport terribly," she said.
The concerns have been raised just weeks after demonstrations were held over the poor conditions of roads in the region.
Over speeding, overloading and corrupt traffic officers on the roads has become a new lifestyle that must be adopted by any residents.
Efforts to hear from the police boss, Francis Nguli bore no fruits as he claimed to be busy attending to other issues.
