Residents of Itumbe Village in Sameta Sub-county are living in fear claiming the area has become a dumping site for dead bodies.
The residents complained that the horror of coming across dead bodies has left them traumatized as they also fear to bump into those dumping the bodies.
The concerns come just a day after a lifeless body of a police officer was found on Sunday morning dumped in a thicket within a tea farm, an incident that has left them horrified.
Mr Joseph Makori, a local said that in the past few months there have been three bodies dumped in the area including that of a minor.
"Things are headed for the worst in this area and if something will not be done then the situation will worsen. This area is very bushy which makes it easier for murderers to dump victims here," he said.
Mr Evans Ontieko, a nyumba kumi leader said that he was shocked in the manner in which a body found dumped in a thicket last Friday was.
"The body was put inside a sack that had been filled with chicken feathers, it was so hard to tell that it was carrying the body of a person," he said.
According to him the police should not just visit the area and take away the bodies, they should also investigate such matters.
