An Independent MP is confident President Uhuru Kenyatta will beat National Super Alliance (NASA) candidate Raila Odinga in the repeat presidential election.Speaking when he campaigned for Kenyatta's reelection on Tuesday, Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina vowed to ensure the Jubilee Party candidate emerges the winner of the poll slated for October 26."More than 30,000 registered voters in my constituency did not vote in the August elections. So far, I have discovered more than 10,000 of them and they have pledged to vote during the repeat poll," he noted."Most of them had transferred their votes to other areas where they could not reach on the election day. We will offer transport to ensure they vote for Uhuru," the MP added.Wainaina, who is leading Uhuru's campaigns in Thika Township, is the only Independent MP in the whole of Kiambu County.The legislator said leaders in the Uhuru's home county have been holding a series of meetings on how to hold grassroot campaigns for the Head of State ahead of the poll."We are planning to conduct door-to-door campaigns to ensure 100 percent voter turnout. We will ensure he sweeps all the votes in Kiambu County," Wainaina said.
