This comes amidst reports that Ruto has visited the region over 22 times since 2013 on grounds that it has been leaning towards KANU.

On Sunday, Longanyapuo insists that Jubilee will scoop votes from the region and challenged the two principals to concentrate elsewhere in the country.

“Deputy President I want to assure you that West Pokot will vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta by over 99 percent. I don’t see the reason why you should continue coming here. Kindly go to regions where the coalition is unpopular,” he said.

“I hear you have come here for over 22 times and that is an indication that you fear losing in Pokot. We are behind Jubilee and nothing should worry you much,” he added.

Jubilee government has been focusing on areas that it scored lowly in 2013 with DP Ruto leading onslaught in the regions.
