President Uhuru Kenyatta has advised youth to venture into agriculture.
Speaking at the New KCC Eldoret factory on Monday, Kenyatta said Agriculture is now a more profitable venture compared to seeking employment. He challenged the youths to get loans from youth fund and use the funds to buy cattle.
"Unemployment should not be an issue anymore in this era where a youth can access a loan to buy a dairy cattle and get self employed," noted the president.
"Youth need to look at agriculture as a business because today a dairy farmer earns more cash than an employed person," he added.
The head of state spoke after commissioning an ultra modern UHT unit at the New KCC Eldoret factory that was set up at a cost of Sh400 million.
