A lorry driver was fined Sh12,000 for blocking Deputy President William Ruto's motorcade during a recent visit to Machackos on Sunday.
According to reports, Shadrack Nzomo Musyoka was arraigned in a court in Machakos and charged with obstruction and failing to adhere to verbal instruction contrary to.
It is alleged that Musyoka blocked the deputy president's convoy by stopping in the middle of the ground.
The incident took place on September 10 at Vota junction area along Mombasa-Nairobi road in Machakos County.
The accused is said to have been driving a Isuzu lorry under the registration of KCH 544B.
Senior Magistrate Yusuf Shikanda ordered Musyoka to pay the Sh12,000 fine after he pleaded guilty to the charges.
