Tensions was high in Naivasha on Monday after a lorry that was transporting food stuffs knocked down and killed a flower farm worker, before hitting an ATM machine.
Another employee was left nursing injuries after the accident and is being admitted at Naivasha sub-county hospital.
The accident occurred along the busy Moi Road, caused traffic jam and hindered normal operations at the Family Bank Automated Teller Machine. The lorry was heading to Mai Mahiu from Nakuru.
Police officers from Naivasha acted quickly to guard the ATM machine before specialists were deployed to repair it.
Reached for a comment Naivasha OCPD Titus Munyoki confirmed the incident.
However a senior police officer, who spoke to this writer anonymously, confirmed the incident saying the driver was being questioned to shed more light.
The officer said the middle aged man’s body was taken to Naivasha sub-county hospital Mortuary.
The canter was taken to Naivasha police station.
