Boda boda operators and other low income earners in Kiambu County are set to benefit following the launch of Metro Boresha Biashara Scheme by county's largest savings and cooperative society, Metropolitan National Sacco.
The scheme is designed for individual traders who require financing to run their business on a daily basis.
CEO Francis Ng'ang'a said that the plan seeks to target boda boda operators, barbers, market traders and any individuals who require financing to run business.
Originally meant for teachers, the Sacco has increase its had a membership from5,000 members in 2009 to more than 60,000 after it opened doors to other members of the community.
