Former Tanzanian Prime Minister Edward Lowassa has urged Kenyans to maintain peace ahead of the August 8 general polls.Speaking on Saturday during the burial of Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery in Kajiado, Lowassa said that Kenyans should emulate the deceased who loved peace. “Kenya is the most developed country in East Africa. My brother Nkaissery was a peaceful person. I urge you all to emulate him especially during this political season. Let’s not repeat the past mistakes (the 2007/2008 post election violence),” said Lowassa. Lowassa’s sentiments were reiterated by President Uhuru Kenyatta who was also present at the burial. Nkaissery died last week after suffering a rare heart attack.
