Lowoi who is also the Karuna/Mibeki MCA also challenged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to bar politicians fanning tribalism from taking part in the August polls.

Speaking in Eldoret, Lowoi warned that engaging in tribal politics could cause violence.

"This is a cosmopolitan county and we don't want a few individuals going round dividing our people on tribal basis. We need to focus on preaching peace and unity even if we are campaigning," noted Lowoi.

"Police and other relevant authorities need be to on the lookout and ensure any aspirant involved in tribal politics is arrested and prosecuted," he noted, Wednesday.
