Moturi’s sentiments come slightly three months before the party conducts its primaries ahead of August 2017 polls.

In a discussion at Nyamira Politics Whatsap group, Moturi insisted that the party strictly recommends aspirants who set their time aside to promote interests of the party.

“Loyalty supersedes everything when it comes to rewarding of our members. We give priority to members who are committed to promote interest of the party and that are the position,” said Moturi during Monday evening debate.

“Members are encouraged to carry out activities such as rallying people to register as voters among others. That is the prime parameter we use to reward especially during nominations ahead of elections,” he added.

However, Moturi added that the tradition has never affected free and fair nominations within the Orange party.

“Rewarding loyalty doesn’t mean that we do not hold free and fair polls. We have done that before and succeeded,” he said.
