The Lake Region Economic Bloc and the Lake Basin Development Authority on Tuesday announced a broad partnership to promote sustainable and equitable socio-Economic development while enhancing integration among member counties.
In a media briefing at The Grand Swiss Hotel, Kisumu, the two organizations led by Abala Wanga, the Interim Head of Secretariat of LREB and Evans Atera, the Ag. MD, LBDA, the teams said that the new partnership to integrate planning, coordination and implementation of developmental projects.
The partnership also aims to leverage the two organization’s respective strengths in order to achieve access to new and expanded markets, economies of scale, comparative strengths , shared resources and values.
It will also revolutionize the region by bringing together researched data and information in addition to thought out interventions and growth strategies through the LBDA’s Master plan and the LREB’s Blueprint.
“The best partnerships aren’t dependent on a mere common goal but on a shared path of equality, stability, realities and interests," said Wanga.
