According to LSK president Isaac Okero, there is sufficient evidence stated that the bumbs at Karai were dangerous.

"The erecting of the illegal speed bumps is just one area in which the National Transport and Safety Authority appears to have dropped the ball. There is much more than the NTSA should be doing. And there is need to explain to Kenyans why it has thus failed to do so," Okero said in a statement on Tuesday.

Okero added that the bumps are hazardous when erected improperly as correctly.

The accident has so far claimed 43 lives.
