A pupil who was forced to repeat class eight after his parents failed to raise school fees to join Ribe Boys High school in Kilifi has a reason to smile.This is after he received full scholarship from the Kisauni Member of Parliament Ali Mbogo.The pupil, Joshua Edward from Shanzu who scored 353 marks in last year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations decided to repeat class eight after realizing that his parents could not raise school fees.But through his parents’ efforts, locals contributed Sh20,700 to enable him join form one.After hearing of the pupil's plight, Kisauni MP said he would give him full scholarship together with 257 other pupils in the constituency who had received admissions letters to join national schools."We are moving to the right direction as Kisauni residents let us stop the empty politics and get down to work," Mbogo told the pupil's parents in Kisauni on Saturday.The MP pledged to continue with his education agenda and urged parents to always value their children's education."Let us all strive to uplift the levels of education in our constituency, it is the only important thing our children can inherit from us," he said.
