[Photo|@EugeneLWamalwa]A section of leaders from the Western Kenya region, led the country in marking the 14th Anniversary for the late Vice President Michael Kijana Wamalwa.Led by his brother Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, Ken Lusaka, John Waluke, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, the leaders hailed the late Wamalwa, saying he had left a legacy that Kenya still remembers."Wamalwa, a fine son of our land, was a democrat and a nationalist who worked for national unity and cohesion of all Kenyans, not reckless and irresponsible cessation rhetoric and posturing," said Namwamba, the immediate Budalangi MP, and Labour Party leader.The leaders called for unity of the Luhya community, saying they must come together to be one, to make Kenya great and leave a legacy.Hundreds of residents also attended the late Wamalwa's memorial service, which was led by Bishop Crowley, in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, Wednesday August 23.
